Challenge is a Service Organization with a Christian emphasis
that focuses on the safe reintegration for all residents
entrusted within their care. This emphasis is Christ
Centered Ministry that requires a continuum of nurturing from
the beginning to the end.
Genesis
House serves ex-offenders by establishing a safe community
environment that promotes responsible, pro-social lifestyles,
financial independence, gainful employment, and independent
living skills. The Genesis House program includes:
-Room
and Board
-Gradual
re-entry into the community via restriction and earned
privileges
-Creation
of community support/service networks and transitional/aftercare
services
-Employment/Vocational
referrals
-Income
Management/Education
-Independent
Living Skills
-Development
of appropriate leisure time activities
-Anger
Management Group teaching
-Documented
sign-in/sign-out system and 24 hour on-duty staff supervision
-Monitoring
of residents whereabouts in the community
-Drug
and alcohol testing and reporting
-Enforcement
of program rules and accountability
-Character-based
educational and support programs.
